Body Detox Cleanse

Anytime is a good time to detox and cleanse.  Body detoxing help boost your immune system, regulate lymph nodes, get rid of built up toxins which will in turn helps to speed up metabolism and make you lose weight faster.  Detoxification also slows down the aging process, reduces body odor and bad breath.  Healthy hair and skin.  The liver and kidney are key organs to detoxify the blood to maintain good health.   Our body are exposed to toxins on a daily basis by what we eat and drink, when we put on our skin, the air we breath.  Detoxing regularly allows us to have and maintain overall good health.   There are many detox remedies/concoction that can be purchases online, I prefer to make my own because I can customize what I want in my recipe, plus it’s super easy to make.

I made this tonic which is high in minerals, antioxidants, dietary fiber to improve cholesterol levels and regulate blood glucose, vitamin c to help fight infection. It also aids in skin conditions, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, cleanse the liver and kidney and improve the body’s immune system.  This tonic has many other health benefits.

Here’s the recipe;

1 bunch of celery

2 bunches of parsley

1 medium piece of ginger

1 cucumber

1 cup pineapple chunks

1 cup of cerasee (bitter mellon) leaves and stems

1 small sweet potatoe

1 large aloe leaf

1 whole lemon

2 large thyme leaves

3 tablespoon of burdock root

Wash all the ingredients.  Slice the cucumber, lemon, ginger and put in a large pot of water.  Also add the rest of the ingredients, you can slice the potato or leave whole and eat afterwards.  Let this concoction simmer on low heat for approximately 1 hour.  Let cool then pour in containers and refridgerate.   Drink for 3 – 5 days, it leaves you cleanse and rejuvenated.   Drink hot or cold, add a teaspoon of honey if drinking hot.  It’s best “not” to add honey to cold drinks as it encourages weight gain.
