For dry skin, try applying a nourishing, hydrating face mask two times a week. What can you use from your kitchen? One of my favorites is ripe avocado. High in vitamins C and E and a good source of essential fatty acids, avocado is one of the more effective home remedies. Skin is nourished while at the same time the fatty acids help to soften the skin.
To make an avocado face mask simply mash one-half ripe avocado. Gently cleanse the face and pat with warm water. Smear the avocado onto the skin. Relax for 15 minutes before washing off. You can also add one teaspoon of olive or sweet almond oil to the avocado for extra moisture. For more nutrients, mash a small piece of ripe banana with your avocado. Enjoy!
